The Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs and the Korea Agro-Fisheries & Food Trade Corp (aT) have launched a full-scale effort to penetrate the Indian market by hosting the ‘2026 K-Food Fair’ in New Delhi. This event was organized to raise awareness of Korean food in the rapidly growing Indian market and to support domestic export companies in securing local distribution channels.
According to reports, the K-Food Fair focused on providing local Indian consumers and buyers with opportunities to experience Korea’s diverse food culture firsthand. With the rising popularity of K-Content in India driving increased interest in Korean cuisine, this event is expected to serve as a vital bridgehead for expanding Korean food exports to the country.

With its massive population and rapidly growing middle class, India is considered a highly attractive market for global food companies. The Korean government intends to use this event as an opportunity to diversify distribution channels for Korean food in India and strengthen marketing strategies that resonate with local consumers.
Beyond simple product promotion, the K-Food Fair is expected to contribute to building a premium image for Korean food. Local consumers had the opportunity to experience a wide range of products, from traditional Korean foods to the latest trendy processed goods, deepening their understanding of Korean food culture.
An official from the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs stated that this event would serve as a significant turning point for increasing the market share of Korean food in India.
