Popular — 'Textbook History Tour' Family Program Recruiting Participants for Fall 2026

The Seoul Historiography Institute is running the family field-education program “Textbook History Tour” for fall 2026. The program will operate from September through October 2026 on Saturdays excluding public holidays, with a total of 14 sessions. Each session runs for 2 hours; there are two shifts per day (10:00–12:00 and 14:00–16:00).

This season’s sites are Seodaemun Prison History Hall, Seonjeongneung, Taegangneung, and Jongmyo. Participation in the program is free, but site admission fees apply separately (for example, Seodaemun Prison History Hall adult admission: 3,000 KRW).

Applications are accepted per session on a first-come, first-served basis. Interested families should check the Seoul Historiography Institute website (history.seoul.go.kr) and Seoul Public Service Reservation (yeyak.seoul.go.kr) for each session’s announcement and apply during the posted application window. The spring program ran 18 sessions with 283 families (823 people), and every session sold out within 30 minutes; respondents reported 93.9% satisfaction, so expect quick sellouts.
